OCMA Board Appoints Sheryl Long as Vice-Chair, Support of the Profession Committee

Sheryl Long, City Administrator, City of North College Hill was recently appointed Vice-Chair of the Support of the Profession Committee by the OCMA Board at the August 24, 2017 board meeting.  Ms. Long has served as City Administrator of North College Hill for over two years. Prior to that, Ms. Long was the Communications Manager for North College Hill.  Long's experience includes marketing and communications, including management of social media and the city's website, public relations strategies, community outreach and engagement and economic development.  Ms. Long has a bachelor of arts degree from Miami University and a masters of marketing degree from Southern New Hampshire University. 

When asked why she is interested in serving on the Support of the Profession Committee, Ms. Long responded that she thrives in an environment where she can educate folks about professional management and offer resources supporting this form of government.  She noted that professional management allows jurisdictions to focus on what is in their best interest.   Ms. Long expects to use her creativity and marketing skills in advocating for professional management.
