Friends of OCMA Corporate Partners |
Professional local government management is vital to Ohio cities and counties. Highly qualified professional managers/administrators and staff help communities meet the needs of citizens. OCMA was founded to support and improve municipal and county management and strengthen local government in Ohio. OCMA is a professional network that offers professional development and information sharing opportunities for managers/administrators, assistants, management assistants, interns, and other staff throughout the State of Ohio.
The ongoing success of OCMA is dependent on several factors, including the financial support of corporate partners, the “Friends of OCMA”. As an Association, we believe that encouraging private sector partnership can enhance our knowledge and understanding of your expertise, services and/or products available to municipalities and counties. We invite you to join us by serving as a sponsor of the Association. Your organization may choose to support OCMA through the “Friends of OCMA” Corporate Partnership Program at one of four levels:
· Tech City/Innovation Level $4,000 (All 4 sponsorships at this level are sold for 2012)
· Corporate Partnership Level $3,000
· Corporate Sponsorship level $2,000
· Corporate Benefactor Level $1,000

Hiring a Professional Manager |
Hiring a professional manager, appointed by the local government's governing body, is a trend on the rise in local government given the expansion of the responsibilities of communities, the demands on governing bodies and the need for technical competence in the management of the operation and delivery of services. Today's elected community leaders can better fulfill their legislative or policy-making roles and maintain their overall control of service delivery by delegating the day-to-day management of the local government to an appointed professional administrator. Employing a professional manager or administrator frees elected officials from the administration of daily operations and gives them time to focus on the policy issues that guide the future of the community.
