Process Improvement and Innovation Course

Utilities and local governments are constantly called upon to do “more with less” while facing many similar issues – aging infrastructure, tight budgets, legacy technology systems, staff that are stretched thin, and customers, taxpayers, and ratepayers that demand innovation and accountability. The Lean, Six Sigma, and Change Management disciplines provide useful tools and techniques for streamlining processes and innovation, but are geared toward private, for-profit businesses.

The Process Improvement and Innovation program developed by the RPA is specifically designed to equip utility and local government staff with specifically tailored tools and techniques to improve operations and solve organizational issues, without the jargon. The Process Improvement and Innovation program is centered around the Process Improvement Cycle, which focuses on three phases: planning, innovating, and sustaining.
