Full time:   Salary/ Exempt
Salary: $68,640- $90,000 annually
Department: Administration
Reports to: Safety – Service Director

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Budget Director to oversee our financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal management, ensuring that our resources are allocated effectively to support our mission and goals.

Position Summary:
The Budget Director will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the municipality’s budget, including its preparation, administration, and monitoring. This role requires collaboration with department heads, elected officials, and other stakeholders to ensure financial transparency, compliance, and accountability.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in budget management, financial planning, or a related area, preferably within the public sector.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, budgeting practices, applicable Ohio Revised Code sections for municipalities, and other financial regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.

Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
