Liberty Township is located in southwest Ohio in the center of the fast-growing Cincinnati-Dayton metroplex. Located along I-75, with Cincinnati 20 miles to the south and Dayton 25 miles to the north, Liberty Township’s 28 square miles is rich in history and offers a variety of development opportunities for businesses – primarily at the Liberty Way Interchange at I-75 (opened October 2009). Liberty Township estimates an additional 800-900 residents move into the community each year based on the number of single family zoning permits issued over the last 5 years. Since 1990, Liberty Township has grown from 9,200 residents to over 44,000 today making it one of Ohio’s fastest growing regions.
The Township is an attractive full-service community with a venerable history of stable political and administrative leadership which are considered hallmarks of the well-run local government. The Township Administrator reports directly to the Board of Trustees. Liberty Township is an attractive, fast growing, progressive community which is well positioned financially to continue their steep growth curve. A proposed new interchange off I-75 will be an economic driver for the region.
The successful candidate will have at least eight years of experience working with local government, at least three years which have been in a supervisory capacity. The candidate will possess outstanding leadership skills and a comprehensive knowledge of local government including budget and office management of comparable size organizations. Relevant experience with strategic economic development of a region preferred. We seek a strong team player with excellent relationship and communication skills to lead a dynamic team.
