Zoning and GIS Manager

The City of Clayton is looking for a dynamic, creative, and motivated self-starter to serve as the next Zoning and GIS Manager. An integral part of the economic development team, the Zoning and GIS Manager will serve as the staff liaison to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission. The ability to interact with the public is essential, as this position will handle calls, questions, and requests from the general public daily.  The Zoning and GIS Manager reports to the Director of Development and is expected to coordinate the city’s field related software programs and GIS systems, coordinate with support staff the creation of new GIS related mapping systems, and coordinates the City’s zoning permit processes and services.

Bachelor’s degree in an urban affairs related field and three years professional zoning administration and GIS experience, or a combination of experience and training that provide necessary knowledge, skills & abilities.  The annual salary for this exempt full-time position is commensurate with experience and ranges from $50,301 to $87,233.
