 The City of Loveland, Ohio is accepting resumes for the highly responsible position of City Engineer. This position will be responsible for professional-level civil engineering work of capital improvement planning, cost estimating, budgeting, grant-writing, design, construction administration and site observation to improve public facilities including: a potable water system (including treatment and distribution), roadways, parks, sidewalks, retaining walls, bridges, culverts, sanitary sewer, and storm water improvement projects. and the City Engineer also assists in the review and approval of private development plans, as well as assisting the Public Works Superintendent in the oversight of some aspects of the Service Department such as issuing Right-of-Way permits, maintaining and organizing public records, submitting the department’s annual budget requests, updating infrastructure maps and GIS files.  The City Engineer also serves as the City’s Floodplain Administrator, Prevailing Wage Coordinator, representative at the Regional Storm Water Collaborative as well as the City’s Storm Water Committee and leads activities for the City’s OEPA NPDES II MS4 permit.  Provides daily engineering and technical support to other City departments and staff.

Applicant must have strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to deal with the public and elected officials in an effective manner, and the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with several concurrent projects in various stages. A minimum of four years comprehensive work experience in a municipal engineering and a BS in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college is required. EI certificate and experience with the use of AutoCAD, water modeling software, and GIS is desirable.  Salary range is up to $118,583, depending on qualifications. Position includes a competitive compensation package including pension pick-up.
