Powell’s Director of Community Engagement will be a leader who works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, City Council, businesses, and citizens to tell our story and build public awareness of city initiatives, programs, services, policies, and events.

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and administrating impactful communication strategies that promote the City of Powell’s brand and message. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a growing community and make a real impact and initiate change with a team that values bold thinking and ideas!

Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or a related field and at least 3- 5 years of progressively responsible public relations experience with a local government or corporate communication department.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 a year (negotiable depending on experience) and includes an attractive benefits package including paying into Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, vacation/personal time/sick leave, and health insurance effective day one of employment.
